The Movie
"20 Minutes" is a haunting tragic love story with a supernatural twist. Sometimes forever is just a few minutes; and sometimes a few minutes can be a lifetime; as we see through the eyes of Scott as he faces life without his true love, Grace.
This highly emotionally charged story takes us on a journey that will open our eyes, hearts, and minds as we think about love, life, and beyond. Everyone wants to find eternal love. Sometime it takes a lifetime... Sometimes it only takes twenty minutes.
"20 Minutes" was written, directed and produced by Monica Huntington. She also stars in it as Grace, the loving wife. She brings to the role, a warmth that is sweet and adoring yet playful and twinkling with fiery mischief. Monica has appeared in such film as "Executive Decision" with Kurt Russel and Halle Berry, "That Thing You Do" directed by Tom Hanks, the Dave Barry film starring John Cleese, to premiere at the Santa Barbara Film Festival, February 2005; and this past year had starring roles in the indie features, "My Baby's Momma Drama," and the Horror film, "Lich," which already has a cult following overseas.
The story for 20 Minutes came to Monica while driving home late one night after acting class in Beverly Hills. The story kept haunting her, until she decided to write the short screenplay, which tugged at the back of her mind for a couple of years until she was compelled to produce the film.
Jeff Marchelletta. is the perfect Scott a combination of handsome irresistibility mixed with a genuine dependable quality. Jeff, originally from New York, has appeared on "Law and Order", "Nikki", "All My Children" and in films such as: "The Best Man", "Exorcism", and "Hollywood Vampire" which earned him a best actor nomination at the Modesto Film Festival. He is magical as Scott, with adoration and charm in his eyes.
The film was shot all around Ventura, California; using some of the city's unique landscape and points of interest; including Cemetery Park, where the funeral scene was shot. The park had not seen a funeral for over a hundred years until that scene. Many of Ventura's residents were featured as Mourners.
20 Minutes is currently being edited, and a composer has been selected to score original music for the story. After completion, There will be a local private screening in Ventura; then it will be off to film festivals around the world.
